Yes but then you really should use Firefox! Get Firefox here.

Can I really share any file? Are there no restrictions at all?
Any file. No restriction.

Do I have to be online to share my files?
Yes. Just like your friends have to be online to chat, you have to be online so they can download the files you are sharing from them (unless someone else has it already)

Do my friends have to be online when I share with them?
No. They will be notified next time they come online.

How can AllPeers be free?
Because we can. We are using P2P technology which means it costs very little to run.

What about adware and spyware?
AllPeers does not and will not contain these software pests. There are no Adware, Spyware or any other nastyware in AllPeers.

Isn't it risky to have other people connected to my PC? Can't they see all my files?
Well, the bad news is that you don't have to use AllPeers to have people accessing your PC. This is why you should always use the latest security software, like an anti-virus, firewall and spyware remover. AllPeers does not create any additional risk. Since AllPeers lets you decide exactly which files to share with which friends, there's no way for them to see your private files.

Why on earth did you put this inside a browser!?
We are constructing a new web browser experience that blurs the line between normal web content and content that comes from your friends and family. With a standalone client, you get the advantages of P2P (much more efficient, ability to share with precisely who you want, no file limits, etc.) but with a user interface that pales in comparison to a fully-featured web browser.

You can already see the advantage of this approach in the way we let you share webpages, images and text from the web with a simple drag-n-share operation.



How secure is it?
All communications are encrypted using industry standard SSL and you can only share with people you know.



How do you intend to make money?
By allowing people to sell or buy their content under their own terms. But this is not for just now. We are building AllPeers one step at a time.
