Blind Journey

Did I feel your breath; maybe I called your name,
I woke myself last night~
Did I hear your voice?
Could that have been your fingertips on my skin?
Either way, when I woke, I simply wasn?t the same

Perhaps t?was nothing,
Just a bump in the night;
Waking me, shaking me~
Nothing to fear,
Even without you to cling

The nights leave me pondering~
Without this powerful peace,
without you to love, or your love of me;
Was I just out there aimlessly wondering?

I find each moment apart and everything I do,
A tad bit more difficult than before;
When your love was not present;
I wish I had known; with every step I took,
it was merely one closer to you

Is this about an ex, or current but not present love? For some reason this had me thinking about an old ex that never seems to leave my mind, it's been 10 years, but sometimes it seems like it was just last week still.

In either case, nice. Anything that evokes feeling works for me.

I love this about poetry....it's all about how you want to see it...each time you read a piece..it can evoke different memories/feelings.

For me, this is about a current love, someone I miss.... :)
