Im wondering if anyone can tell me the best (fastest) program to convert my dvd rips to avi so they dont take up so much room on my harddrive? When i rip the dvds with dvd shrink, it makes them in folders vob files to burn with nero etc. But the files are like 4 gig each. I have seen where the same movies in avi are less than a gig. I want to share more movies because i do rip and "back-up" alot of MY movies. But when i tried to change them to avi using dual dvd copy gold or ahead dvd ripper, they said they would take like 24 and up hours. I cant let my computer run that long doing nothing else. Any idea's. how do the rest of you convert to avi? do you wait that long/
