I've been talking about it for a month or so, so now I'll give ya a few pics. Just got it home today.

There now. Only real problem with it is that there's a hole in the driver's side floorboard. No biggie, a replacement panel is $17 and my dad has access to a welding machine. (Jeeps are notorious for holes in the front floorboards... I was expecting more rust in the body....)

It does look good, MoHarm. What year is it again? And is it an automatic or manual? And are those auto locking hubs? Pretty straight, not too bad. I hope that is the 4.0 Liter six cylinder. They are torque masters, and they make it at low revolutions which is good for rock crawling or hill pulling. Only this I know bad about the six is they can be bad about the timing chain snapping or breaking. Secondly, the valve cover is very long and the seal has a tendency to leak. NAPA sells the right gasket, a Fel-Pro unit, for around $50. Buy it once, you will not have to do it again. Good luck.

It's a '95. 5 on the floor. Self-locking hubs, but I got the 2.5l 4 cyl. It's no speed demon, but I bet a tank of gas lasts longer :)

The 2.5 L 4 is a good engine, too. Five speed is better for the fact of the lower gear ratio in fifth for highway driving. The self lockers are nice when it snowing out, but occasionally, repeat occasionally they will not unlock or lock and unlock by themselves. But, that is also the easiest to fix, just by new and replace since they are out in the open just jack it up and do it.

Not too bad, looks like it should do you good, and hopefully you take it out and use it like a Jeep is meant to be used!

I still prefer the 4-door Cherokee over the little CJ/YJ body type, a bit more room for hauling out camping supplies and such, and my insurance drops like a rock if it's the 4-door :D

Hehe. Well, honestly I'd rather have a CJ-8 (Scrambler), but those are few and far between, so I settled on a yj which is basically just a cj-7. Scrambler parts are hard as hell to find, too, so I think I made a wise choice.

My buddy had an old '70 something Cherokee, primer grey. that was another great vehicle to go knockin about the woods in.
