Instant Infatuation

From the distance I watched you
Your stance
Your eyes
Even from where I stood I could see them, beautifully blue

With one glimpse of your smile
I knew exactly what I was seeing
That smile became a warmth
And it spread throughout my being

There it sat, heavy upon my chest
All but stopping each and every breath
Then dropped down into my stomach
Where there it began to take a rest

such a feeling, so very new
Suddenly without warning
It's in the balls of my feet and on into my toes
and there I was in front of you.

Was it me? Was it you?
Somehow someone managed to say hello
At this point I m not sure and at this point
I don't need to know
