Motorcycle safety has always been a huge issue. Helmets and riding suits help somewhat, but they can only do so much. Dainese hope to remedy the problem with their D-Air Suit.

If you need an airbag to ride a motorcycle... buy a car; dipshit.

The New Honda Gold Wing has it as an option. My question, WHY?

Next thing will be a full canopy (for riding in the rain), then wheels on the side in case you lean too far and after that you might as well buy a car anyway, cuz you just took all the fun out of it.

got a few dead friends from wrecks...as i am sure u all do...this thing looks like it could help with a few broken ribs but no serious wreck.
i think it could be a good idea.. not ness for the "every day joe" but for the racing aspect. As Moharm says if yer on the street and you dont feel safe enough.. Buy a car..
You can bet a True Biker (not like the old guys in Wild Hogs) wont be wearing any of these. my 2cents worth

Although I'd love to have my own and I've riden a few mates bikes I won't get a permanent bike coz family and friends reckon I'll just become a 'temporary' family member.
temporary in that it's only a matter of time before you're toast coz bike vs car/truck/bus/lamppost = bike loses every time.

I think it would be a huge help. Its main function is to keep your head from hitting the ground, which is a main cause of death anyways, but you get hit by a semi, you're fucked, period.
nice idea. I might get one just for sleeping on planes.
