The Ghost Watch

Not a Dance in so many words
But a strange chill that strikes the back
Just looking at that gaping door and
The darkness beyond the door and
What is beyond in that darkness
Standing and watching me - I,
I feel the malevolance so strongly
So palpable - who do those evil
Eyes belong to? Some one I know,
Or have known? Or to one that I
Have never known, but whose
Malice I now feel?

I saw you standing that night
Standing in the lamp light
You were dead, I saw you dead
Felt your cold hands and yet I
Saw you standing there. It's not
Right or good to see or feel the
Presence of the Departed.
Not good to pass through the
Cold Spot as I have done.
And who are these Malicious Ones
Standing in the Shadows?
I know they are there and
They know I know they are there...

No ghost at my door yet. The poetry is beautiful. Pooka bravo, bravo and encore. When are you going to be published?

I just write it as it comes to me. Sometimes in rhyme sometimes in blank verse. It's all for my friends in Noobsters. Ideas just come and there it is. I used to write the lyrics when I was in a band, no one else wanted to and to be honest they didn't have the skill. I like messing with the language sort of the way John Lennon did. Words are beautiful and messing with the rhymes and phonetics just appeals to me, always did. I'm glad you like it Jan and if it makes you feel better it makes it worth the effort. Get well my friend...:fly::mod:
