I went to the neurologist

After going to the Doctor/neurologist, she tells me I have brain swelling. She prescribed a hign dose of Prednisone, for the swelling and Vicodin for the pain. I will see her again in fifteen days. If this does not work, she said she may have to do a spinal tap (!). I hope that I will not have to do this, since my Dad had one last year. His comment was that heart surgery was easier (!). Yikes!!! I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for all your input. JTM:(

That's pretty serious stuff JTM. Sounds like they're trying the least intrusive solutions first. So I hope the Prednisone does it's job for the (brain) swelling and the vicodin is able to offer you some relief. Good luck with the treatment dude and as you've said keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks, Mawk. I will have the old lady go get some more beer to go along with the Vicodin. These pills do ease the pain, almost to the point of being numb. Plus, the prednisone makes me hungry for anything that doesn't move. Noobsters does give me a release from the mundane life of sitting in the dark and watch Jerry Springer reruns.

Have you had one? My Dad had his last year and just complained and complained about it. From what I am hearing, I don't want any part of it.

Well, as it went for me, from the pics that I posted the other day, the one of my buddy down on the ground flippin the ol' birdie at me was taken on the day. What happened when I had a job where this guy was having a leak in above the window in his daughters bedroom. And it figures that that window is on the bad side of the house, which is going downhill, plus it was really muddy, and there's basically only 4 feet of level ground off that side of the house before it goes really downhill. So I was carrying the ladder, trying to find a good spot to set it against the house, had to climb up a small up slope, and take a guess at what happened next. That's pretty much how it happened. But that's not what pissed me off. What really did it to me was that I didn't see the daughter there, not even once during the job, which only took a couple days. Got to go up and into her room, held myself back from doing a panty raid, got knocked on the noggin, and didn't even get to see this teenage hotty. Figures, just my luck.
