Sheriff's officials were astounded Thursday by a letter requesting the man accused of murdering his girlfriend and possibly participating in cannibalism be placed on a vegetarian diet to keep him from being "involved in any senseless killing" while incarcerated.
The letter was faxed to the Smith County Sheriff's Jail from the national headquarters of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Thursday morning.
When asked how eating a hamburger compared to cannibalism, Friedrich said all meat is from a corpse. He further stated he believes McCuin could become violent if he ate meat and could kill.
I suppose then it could be possible that the only time McCuin is *normal* is after he had a heaping helping of flesh. Perhaps it was the vegetables that made McCuin go snaky. Then again, Friedrich is probably right, after all, he is a part-time PETA volunteer.
It's downright scary that there are actually people on this earth that believe there is no distinction whatsoever between humans and animals. It use to rattle my noggin', trying to understand how some people could equate the value of a cow with that of a human life. Finally, I came to the conclusion that it's not for me to understand these types of people, for who among us can crawl into the deep recesses of a demented and retarded brain? Not I.
