Cool, I wish my newer PC had cards that needed that kind of cooling. Gamers who want to crank Unreal Tournament III up to PS3 detail levels (it was ported over from the console version) would need that kind of cooling setup.

My Dell XPS-410 sounds like a wind machine when I play Unreal III and it's only at 50% detail level (but looks spectacular and has awesome framerate). Still, I wonder how quiet the fan setup in the advertisement is. Probably pretty quiet all things considered - and well worth the dough if you are lucky enough to have a high-end gaming PC.

^^That didn't work for me... :(

I would LOVE to have that case. Look at the behemoth I'm using now... (And yes, it does sound like a hairdryer).

If I had a decent case, I might actually run my wires right, instead of all over. Heck, I might even leave the side on (in the winter and at night)...:icon_cheesygrin:

Damn Harmless my man you've created Franken'puter!;)

I could never set up a rig like that. I rarely have the nerve to pop the hood on mine...but then I have made a minor modification: I had to jam a paint stir stick in there (cut in half) to wedge between the two DVD-R drives because they were vibrating themselves right out their housings!

Then I had to stick felt furniture pads under it (this is when it was new, mind you) to absorb the vibration left over. Now it runs like a top....most of the time.

I could go on and on about that Dell factory problem and the screws they sent to "fix" it. Nope, the Frankenstein way works fine with me!:icon_cheesygrin:

Yup.. Franken'puter is the right word for it. Lots of donated parts. Mobo from when my dad upgraded (It's actually a testing sample mobo... he couldn't get it to work w/ his stuff), Cpu from my friend Paul, Ram I bought, Video card from my buddy Stu, Fancard I bought because the fan was fried on the video card, Wireless card I bought, Audio card from my last frankenputer, Power supply from ol' Stu, dvd writer and dvd-reader/cd writer were xmas presents, The thermaltake volcano with rheostat HSF I bought, cuz I wanted to sacrifice noise level for performance, and Case from good ol' Stu.

I love it when my buddies upgrade, I can usually get their old stuff that's now incompatible, or slower than their new stuff for free or on the cheap.

And I've been building computers from the base up since the 486 days. Man, I love jumpers & dip switches. You guys have it easy with the auto-assign IRQ's and com ports and stuff. Bach then you had to know what IRQ's were available, and if none were, you had to figure out what two things wouldn't interrupt each other. The glory days. *wistful sigh*

Edit to add: Crap, Sorry if I hijacked your thread, it was unintentional. My Bad.

Sorry the sale is over. If I see another great deal like that I'll post it. My case only ran 75 bucks a year or so ago. And it's a cherry case, It works great with my water cooling system, I would have got one of those today but my cooler wouldn't fit ontop.
