A Kansas family is grieving the loss of Emily Sander, a porn star known as Zoey Zane, following the announcement by police that they've recovered a body that matches the college student's description.
The Wichita Eagle reports this morning that "a Butler County deputy and an El Dorado police officer found a body matching Sander's description at about 2:20 p.m. along U.S. 54 near the Woodson County town of Toronto, 50 miles east of El Dorado. The body was found on the fifth day of a widespread ground search."
Sander was last seen Friday leaving a bar with Israel Mireles, a 24-year-old resident alien with ties to Mexico. He is now the subject of an international manhunt.

Her family is grieving. "We loved her," grandfather Clem Sander tells the paper.
Police Chief Tom Boren says the public attention that the case has attracted because of Sander's involvement with pornography is "literally crippling our investigation."
He has said that Sander's work for the website isn't believed to have played a role in her disappearance.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram says about 30,000 people each paid $39.95 a month to look at nude photos of the teenager.
Mireles, the suspect in her disappearance, is said to have relatives in that paper's circulation area who aren't cooperating with detectives.
Anyone with information about his location is asked to call police at 1-800-572-7463.

But in this Kansas hamlet, Emily Sander's friends saw her as a vivacious teenager who worked hard days as a secretary at an electric company and went to night school to study business management. She dreamed of one day opening a body-piercing studio and becoming a movie director.
Authorities said Thursday that the preliminary physical description of a body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado matches that of the missing 18-year-old Sander. Investigators refused to give details about the state of the body or how it was found.
As news of the discovery spread, her friends comforted themselves with memories of a loving young woman who enjoyed cooking goulash and would give a ride to anybody who needed one.
"She was probably the most independent girl I know," said Nikki Watson, her close friend. "She was so anxious to get out on her own and make something of herself. She was ready to take on life."
Sander moved in with her boyfriend Michael McAllister when she was 17.
"It was probably the best time in my life," McAllister said Thursday.
He helped her finish high school, and she encouraged him in college. They bought pink and white Denver Broncos jerseys for themselves and their dog, Zan, that they wore on game days. She loved to dance to hip-hop music.
"She wanted to choreograph music videos. That is the only reason she did the Internet thing � to get a little exposure," said McAllister, 20.
They broke up in September after she started posing for nude photos, he said.
Sander's case drew wide attention after it was revealed that she appeared nude on an adult Web site under the name Zoey Zane. That site was inaccessible Thursday, as were several sites that bill themselves as "fan" sites of Zane.
