Evel Knievel's Last Stuntthonl 11-30-07, 09:40 PM There's a good trick... http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d169/thonl/evel.jpg Jantheman 11-30-07, 10:17 PM Poor guy, he brought a lot of joy and happiness to a bunch of people. I will miss him doing all of the "Mr Roof" commericials. mr_wiggles 11-30-07, 10:29 PM a moment of silence please............................one of my heros as a little kid, Who didbt have the cool Evil Knievel toy....mr evil you will be missed sir. mr_wiggles 11-30-07, 10:41 PM this was the toy i had as a young lad http://members.cox.net/sciatica/images/vinekset.jpg njohnson747 12-01-07, 12:10 AM http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/6154/elo1rw7.jpg (http://imageshack.us) I met Evel Knievel(!) at the Iowa State Fair with my Uncle Steve when I was 9 years old. My uncle has always been a salesman and had the balls to walk through the crowd of people (pretending like a salesman does as if he was more important than everyone else) to ask for an autograph from Evel Knievel for me. My uncle apparently had something to prove - I didn't ask for an autograph because I was scared. I was scared as hell to be in the presence of a hero because we got so close. Just to walk up to him like that! And then he was there on his bike posing for pictures and then....he spoke to me. To me! I was so shocked that I was standing in front of him that I immediately forgot what he said. To this day I remember only the images of the moment not the words. I remember. He was a childhood icon for me and I saw him in the flesh. I'll never forget the smile he gave me. He saw how in awe I was and he was happy to make me happy. He was a good man and the consummate entertainer. God bless him. Rest in peace Evel Knievel. th3n00b 12-01-07, 12:40 AM YOU HAD THE SKY CYCLE!!!!!!! I wanted one so bad. RIP Evil.
