250 free Marvel comic books.panillo 11-28-07, 06:01 PM http://www.marvel.com/digitalcomics/hq/ MostlyHarmless 11-28-07, 06:49 PM kinda cool. I haven't read a comic book in ages. The "Smart Panels" option is nice. Oh, and of course, the artwork has gone from hokey (back when I was a kid) to cutting edge (well, cutting edge for putting out an issue a month or whatever...). njohnson747 11-28-07, 06:58 PM Wow that's really neat man! I was really getting in to one of the books when it stopped me and asked me to sign up. I just might. I mean like MostlyHarmless said it's been a while since comic book days. Still, they're fun. I could use a break like that once in a while. Reading them makes me wish I had a screen bigger than 19" tho. This is actually something I wouldn't want to download. Totally got to give respect to the artists and storytellers and make sure they get paid (even if big corporate Marvel writes the checks). As long as Stan "The Man" Lee is around I'm still always going to be a Marvel guy. Rmemeber how Stan Lee always signed off when he wrote a message to the fans? "Excelsior!" FauxReal 11-29-07, 02:14 AM I REALLLLLLY want to read the "Wolverine: Days of Future Past" story arc... I can't find online versions anywhere. sithkhan 11-29-07, 01:58 PM You talking 'bout this, Willis? Days of Future Past is the name of a popular storyline in the Marvel Comics comic book Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, published in 1981. It deals with a dystopian alternate future in which mutants are incarcerated in concentration camps. An older Kitty Pryde transfers her mind into the younger, present-day Kitty Pryde, who brings the X-Men to prevent a fatal moment in history which triggers anti-mutant hysteria. The storyline was very popular at the time and was produced during the franchise's meteoric rise to popularity, which was largely due to the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past writer/artist team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne. As a result of this popularity, the dark future seen in this story was revisited later on several occasions. The first issue of this storyline was voted 25th greatest Marvel Comic of all time by the fans in 2001. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a9/Uxm141.png Jantheman 12-02-07, 03:12 AM Sweet, thanks. mafioso 12-23-07, 11:36 AM nice, thanks | |
