Yeah. I have a fairly good sense of perspective, but because I've never been in the armed forces or a war, All I can do is relate to how much every little thing would suck. I have been through a house fire, though, and I have friends in the military, so at least I know a LITTLE bit about what it's like to lose everything (kinda), and the little things you take for granted overseas. (I have a friend that on his R&R time all he asked for was home-made anything :) ).

That's one of the (many) things I have to thank the service for i.e. For making me appreciate and not take for granted the freedoms and lifestyle I currently enjoy. It's not until you are exposed to people and situations where these things are denied, that you learn to really appreciate them.
