If you are tired of seeing that DivX logo on all your movies and video files, just follow these instructions for turning it off.
Removing the logo or watermark is easy once you find your divx files. Through the Decoder Configuration Utility you can remove this annoyance. Finding the file can be tough... the default installation is here:
"C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX\config.exe"
Many users will likely be able to find it under the DivX folder under All Programs in the Start menu.
Remove the watermark or logo in version 5:
1. Run the Decoder Configuration Utility
2. Click the Quality Settings tab
3. Check the Disable Logo checkbox
4. Click OK
Remove the watermark or logo in version 6:
1. Run the Decoder Configuration Utility
2. Click the Toolbartab
3. UnCheck the Show DivX Logo Watermark checkbox
4. Click OK
Note if you can't find the decoder configuration utility, try do this...
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Paste this into the text box: C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX\config.exe
- Click OK
