Is its wise to drive?brimur 09-16-07, 12:50 PM Hey guys, Im heading over to New York in November with some friends and will be over there for 10 days. JahSun 09-16-07, 02:18 PM Not crazy, just hope you guys have enough gas money, and do an oil change and inspect the car to make sure no shit happens during the trip. Jon 09-16-07, 02:57 PM sounds awesome, just as with everything in the states insure yourself against *everything*, and then buy some more... brimur 09-16-07, 03:20 PM Thanks guys, just wondering if its logistically possible! Jon 09-16-07, 03:27 PM 300 miles a day is'nt to bad, 4-5 hours driving per day (ish) maybe a little less I think it's around 2500 miles from city to city. grillwalker 09-16-07, 05:49 PM 300 miles a day is'nt to bad, 4-5 hours driving per day (ish) maybe a little less I think it's around 2500 miles from city to city. Awwww common man ! drive 8 - 10 hours you'll get there in time to turn around and drive back ^_^ :gathering::crutchs: Ginwithtonic 09-17-07, 04:20 PM 2,521 mi – about 1 day 13 hours http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Las+Vegas&daddr=New+York&mrcr=0&mra=pe&sll=43.04243,-105.995885&sspn=19.350476,47.8125&ie=UTF8&ll=38.959409,-94.570312&spn=20.561013,47.8125&z=5&om=1 beast 09-17-07, 04:57 PM In any event that will make a SWEET road trip!! :foshizzle: silverdooty 09-18-07, 03:06 AM if you take I-70 stop in Glenwood Springs,Colorado. Stop at the brewpub and i'll buy ya some beer for that goddom thing a couple years ago. The mountains are pretty nice this time a year. just had snow today. MostlyHarmless 09-18-07, 03:15 AM Damn, If ya take scenic Route 66 you'll bypass me by about 130 miles. Ya might see Drumbo on Southside of Chicago if ya time it right tho :) pvtpile 09-18-07, 04:33 AM if the driving doesn't pan out, check out flights from southwest. they sometimes have great one way deals for $99 each way. assuming they fly out from where you are at. good luck man! MostlyHarmless 09-18-07, 04:42 AM How can a ONE way flight be $99 EACH way? Theres only one way dude! brimur 09-18-07, 08:55 PM Nice one guys, sure I'll stop off here and there and find a computer and let y'all know where i is! :) @silverdooty - Goddom? Damn, must have been a few years ago. Did you have a different name then? satman 09-18-07, 08:58 PM its possible esp if u plan on stopping on the way and seeing many sights Jantheman 09-23-07, 04:36 AM Brimur, it is not crazy if you have a comfortable car. Fuel concerns, congestion around urban area, state troopers with radar, all these can be bummers. Do you have any buddy to share driving chores? 2500 miles is a long way. The wife and I have driven straight through from Daytona Beach, Florida to Indianapolis, Indiana in fifteen hours before. Average speed around eighty MPH. Mileage will suffer at higher speeds. But, I would say that you will wear out before the vehicle will. Pooka 09-24-07, 07:33 PM It is never safe to drive in the Unified Stations. 'tis a dark barbarous place filled with Blushing Quidnuncs who lie in wait for the unsuspecting hapless visitor from the MotherLand... Far safer to make The Golden Journey to Samarkand...:fly::mod: silverdooty 09-25-07, 02:55 PM silverdooty was m4 xr8d. might of been in '03 or '04 | |
