I don't know if the world is ready for intercity maglevs yet (at least on a mass scale anyway); but it IS a cool idea. Somebody thought about this for a long time I bet. BTW: How do you steer the front tire if it's all enclosed and encased like that (3rd pic)?

Bimota did a concept motorbike a few years ago which was very similar is design (but obviously 2 wheels) where the front forks came out like underarm, like doing a bicep curl (best way I can describe it) and the steering design was amazing, I cant see anything obvious on their webby so will have a browse see if I can find it, remember being very impressed

Kinda sounds like the bike from "Akira". (Although that one had a more traditional steering, but it was pretty much enclosed)
