Slick 01-15-08, 08:45 PM i would imagine it would matter if the tumblers were well lubed and also temperature.. ever try unlocking a car in subzero temps? great concept tho. Jantheman 01-16-08, 01:30 AM I have tried this at work. It did not work for me. But, if you have a remote fob and a cellphone, you can unlock a car by long distance. My daughter locked the keys to the car inside. She calls me and said can you bring me the key. I told her to hold her cellphone close to the car. I punched my remote unlock key and it worked. No it does not have Onstar, in case you were wondering. Something to do with the frequency I imagine.
