The Disappearing Systray

This problem has actually been there ever since I re-installed wind@ws (SP2), and it's finally pissed me off to the point of fixing it. So, I tried those Toolbar fixers, even the one designed for the systray, and wouldn't you know it, it's still broke. I've tried to hide/unhide, assigning new things to pop-up in the tray, and now I'm at a loss. My fellow Noobmen, I throw myself at your mercy for help, you'd have my undying love, and perhaps a scandalous tape involving Pooka shall emerge.

Thanks +2

Place a shortcut to systray (C:\Windows\system32\systray.exe) in the common startup folder (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup).

Restart the computer.

The problem is GONE!

GONE GONE GONE!
