I works for a very small software company basically a startup. There is soo much politics that it is becoming really hard to work and extremely demotivating.

the senior level so called "colleagues" are big time pricks, everyone in my team does less but get paid beacoup cash than me.

Any small job does not seem to interest them since its all about fookin visibility and credibility.

I have been involved in some major projects only to find out that it has been swept away and assigned to someone else since the donkey work has been completed.

btw all projects tend to pay a little commissions.

other teams have had competent people fired while those within the social network seem to be have a relaxing time at work. Most so called "engineers" show up for work just to send few emails and then go home.

at the moment, i am being "targeted" by the "others" who dont want to see me handle any major projects.

not even fookin sure whether to be calm or worried ....its all bs.

i'm terribly scared that i might pretty soon lose my coolness and declare SPAaaarrttttttaaaaaaa on someone really soon.

some of my highly technical work colleagues were gotten rid of in a similar manner.
i think i have lost complete faith and respect.

any advise for me comrades? i thinking of letting it be the way it is and ride it out without bothering anyone at work.......you know just chill out.

LOLLLERS ....funny you brought that up. we have been freaking out for weeks and making fun that one of those people fired might show up with a gun or something.

I feel for ya man. I've been there and done that. Office politics sucks if you're on the bottom rung.

Be happy at work. Look for another job right now. Find happiness... It is your choice... I have been there, done that too... I could blame no one but myself for putting up with the day, to day politics... I gave notice, and a feeling of extreme calm over came me....

Cover you ass & start searching another job until you find something good !
If you stay here, well that'll cost (almost) nothing !
If not, you won't have wasted time !
I know this kind of people who profit of your work and get rid of you as soon as you become awkward !
