A short absence from the interewb

I'll be away from a computer for the next few days due to family issues.

I got one of the middle of the night phone calls yesterday (Wednesday) morning. My sister passed away during the night, and my brother-in-law found her at about 4 am. She was sent to Nashville for an autopsy because no-one can explain what happened. Hopefully we'll know something soon as to the cause. In the meantime, the funeral arrangements are supposed to be made today. I spent the day yesterday at my parents, and had to come into work to wrap up a few things this morning, but will be headed back to my parents this afternoon.

My sister leaves behind her husband, an 11 year old daughter, and a two year old son. She had just found out that she was expecting again. Her first baby appointment had been Tuesday morning where they had deemed her healthy.

My sincerest sympathies go out to you and your families. At least she is in a better place and hopefully the autopsy will give your family some closure. Still very sad though… :(

Wow, not much anyone can say to ease a shock like that. Condolences though, to you and yours.

So sorry for your loss man. Really hope you get closure to the situation, but sounds like you've got others to be there with you for the support you all need. I hope her husband and children with be able to accept things in due time. Be strong bro, even though I'm sure you already are.

The shock loss of a sister, wife and young mother will create a period of hurt that will be felt for a long time. Your young nephew may not be fully aware of what has happened however, your brother in law and neice will be devastated. I know you and your family will do your best to support him and his young family in whatever way you can as they next few days and weeks will be a very trying time.

Not much that we can say that will lessen the pain. But knowing that many of the team here have offered their sympathies will hopefully be of some comfort.

My brother-in-law and the kids have been staying with my parents, but will probably go back to their house in the next day or so. The entire family will be kicking in and helping my bother-in-law learn to cook and take care of the house. My sister did all of that for him.

Autopsy results apparently are not as high a priority as murders and such, so we won't get them back for about a month they say.

Sorry to hear of your loss.. but i hope your family finds closure.. If you ever need anyone to talk to i am Sure there are people here (myself included) that can either be a sound board for, or someone you can talk to/with.. btw i am Formerly Blackbird from jons old forum.. take care my friend..
