THE WTC METEORITE

One of the more unusual artifacts to emerge from the rubble is this rock-like
object which has come to be known as "the meteorite". "This is a fused element
of molten steel and concrete all fused by the heat into one single element."

Whatever it is, kerosene from an airliner didn't do it!

I was an average student in Physics class. That said - how could such a rock be formed? Did the collapse of the tower cause some incredible friction that lead to the superheating of the concrete and steel elements of the WTC? That's the only theory that my feeble scientific mind can conjure up.

Good post.

Did I hear someone say "Thermite"?

(–noun a mixture of finely-divided metallic aluminum and ferric oxide that when ignited produces extremely high temperatures as the result of the union of the aluminum with the oxygen of the oxide: used in welding, incendiary bombs, etc.)
