5 Star prison in Austria

This certainly looks like an office building doesn’t it. Apparently, it’s a five-star prison located in Styria, Austria.


If you look at these figures comparing crime in Austria and crime in the U.S. you’ll notice something odd: although the U.S. has higher crime rates in virtually every category (murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, etc…) the Austrians triumph in one category: burglary. But why? Why is the rate of burglaries in Austria a whopping 40% higher than in the U.S.? I’ll tell you why: because Austrian minimum security prisons are awesome! If you’re in Austria, and have a working brain, you should be trying to get into one right now!

I would have a better chance of getting laid on a congical visit there than I would bringing a chick back to my apartment.

One part of me wants to just throw the key away and forget about it and the other wants to congradulate them fro trying something different. The prison systems these days just don't work!

I believe there should be punishment attached to "crime and punishment".

Compare that wide-open glass building to the Supermax prisons in the USA. The inmates there have windows that are only a narrow slit in the wall 2 inches wide and 2 feet high. Sunlight is a privalege and it looks like progressive Austria is coddling their criminals instead of showing them the definition of hard time.

Ah but think of who most criminals are. Abused and neglected as children. Punishment didn't work back than for the abused and it's not going to work now. The neglected will see any kind of attention as good attention. I'm not saying to treat them all nice but to take our and most prison systems these days and just lock them away and an extended time out is just not working. They need to engaged as vocational, educational activites as much instead of counting down the time till they get out and can get back to there corner to sell crack.

There is only one thing to say here,CRIME DOES PAY,with a 25year sentince in that!

Brother-in-law did a year and a half in Corcoran. I saw the inside of San Diego jail and the stories of Corcoran are much diferent!

However pretty the place looks.......ur still gonna get it up the arse !!!!
