And since years, these "ufologists" waited this moment:
The National Center of Space Studies (CNES) (v) opens the files of its department in charge of the collection of the exhibits on the "Not Identified Aerospace Phenomena".
Heir of an institute created in 1977, the Grouping for the Study and Information on the Not Identified Aerospace Phenomena (GEIPAN) (http://www.cnes-geipan.fr/geipan/) will put gradually on line thirty years of files.
In the menu: Statement of "gendarmerie", photographs and videos, but also the result of its investigations.
With results which let plane the doubt: 9% of the cases are explained perfectly, 33% are "probably", but 28% remain unexplained.
On the whole, nearly 100 000 pages of document will be put on line.
The first batch, which accounts for 25% of the files, is put in line Thursday.
The oldest cases (some go up at 1937) will be added gradually.
