Injuries are reported in what looks to be more than a fender-bender:

Presidential Motorcade in Accident Outside Washington, DC

URBANA, MD - An armored SUV in the Presidential motorcade was in accident outside Washington, DC just minutes ago.

The initial report came from a source this reporter has in Washington, DC and was then confirmed by the FOX pool reporter who was in the motorcade and uninjuried.

Apparently, the SUV struck a car occupied by two elderly people. Their condition is presently unknown.

The president usually takes the Marine One helicopter from the White House to Camp David in secured area near Thurmont, Maryland. However, the weather forced the president and his entourage to take the motorcade instead.

Half of the motorcade turned around after the accident, according to FOX News.

White House spokeswoman Emily Lawimore said at 1:30 pm: "The president is fine, and his car was not involved in the accident."

Lawimore said details are still coming in and there will be updates later in the day.

This was posted online less than 1 hour ago. I've seen nothing on TV thus far but then I was watching Battlestar Galactica on DVD which shows how much I care about the news.
