VRI's roots in high-speed photography go back over 50 years. One might think we've "seen it all", but new applications continue to be discovered.
Our staff shares the excitement of our customers as they discover something previously unseen.
Using slow motion to perform motion analysis with high-speed cameras is not new,
but digital technology is making it more readily accessible as an essential tool in many applications ranging from industrial to entertainment.
At Vision Research, our job is to invent, build and support the finest high-speed digital camera systems anywhere--period.
Systems that provide outstanding image quality, compact and robust construction, and a productive user environment.
Recently, we've added some new products to our portfolio that not only enhance our existing lines focused on instrumentation, research,
and manufacturing, but expand our reach into entertainment and broadcast applications.
Digital imaging is rapidly replacing film. The challenge is to give the cinematographer an alternative to film that will, at least,
match the quality of this time-trusted medium while increasing creative control during production and post-production.
Not that long ago a 512x512 pixel image at a few hundred frames-per-second was considered state-of-the-art.
Now, with our new Phantom 65, we offer 10 megapixel resolution in a 65mm film format, and our Phantom HD is the first digital camera to offer a sensor
that provides the professional with true 35mm fields-of-view and depth-of-view -- at up to 1000 frames-per-second!
