No gambling, just fun. See who picks the best bracket. I am not sure but I think you can have multiple entries. I will sort it all out and let you know what the group name is and such.

I'm usually more of the hockey setup guy, but March Madness is the only hoops I even bother to watch anymore. I'm in.

Okay, I always use ESPN for my fantasy games. You are going to have to go to ESPN and set up an account. Then you are going to have to select Tournament Challenge under the fantasy tab. Once you are logged in, you will be able to follow the link. If not, let me know ASAP. I have set up the group and here is the page. http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/group?entryIDFrom=56367&groupID=6930 (http://www.noobsters.com/forum/redirector.php?url=%68%74%74%70%3a%2f%2f%67%61%6d% 65%73%2e%65%73%70%6e%2e%67%6f%2e%63%6f%6d%2f%74%63 %6d%65%6e%2f%67%72%6f%75%70%3f%65%6e%74%72%79%49%4 4%46%72%6f%6d%3d%35%36%33%36%37%26%61%6d%70%3b%67% 72%6f%75%70%49%44%3d%36%39%33%30)

the password is noobsters.com

If you all want to play somewhere else, let me know and I will fill out a bracket there. If this is the case, you are going to have to set it up.

That sounds good. I'm going to fill out my brackets tonight and set up my account first thing this morning.

Thx Moonman!

My bracket has been posted in the Noobsters group with ESPN along with Moonman's. For the record my name is "SC1" for our group. I didn't know how to get njohnson747 as my registered name. So when I kick ass you can call me NSC1Johnson.

So moonman and I are the only noobsters with brackets submitted as of this post time. C'mon guys - make your picks and get 'em in. Join the muthafunkin' fun!

I've been trying, but it seems that ESPN is a bit defective on their sign-up page. I've been trying for half an hour to figure out what is wrong with my registration, but nothing is wrong with it. Every time I click the submit button, it throws me to the top of the page with nothing happening otherwise.

ESPN.com, brought to you by the same idiots that brought us the GO network of the 90's.

Alright, my bracket is in. Just have one up for now. Are we keeping to a limit of one per?

Yea, I think 1 per is good.

Duke was eliminated in the first round, there is a god!

And can someone explain to me where the hell Gonzaga's starting line went? I think they found some really cheap lookalikes to put in there last night.... Total pwnage against them, sucks for my picks!

njohnson747

I'm named "SC1" in our 4-man noobsters March Madness tournament and it's a tight race. I'm just behind the leader in our group. Unfortunately I don't know who the leader is(!) because only Moonman knew how to get his noobster name posted as his tournament contest name. Whoever is "Hardy4" in the tournament is leading the pack of NCAA noobsters. So let yourself be known, mofo! Post something!

We'll see how it all works out, my friends. I've got UNLV going deep in the tournament - they are my Cinderalla pick and were only seeded 7th in their bracket. The Runnin' Rebels, baby! They're already shocking people - but not me. Tark the Shark might not be their coach anymore but I've still got them going to the Final Four in Atlanta. Their not quite there yet but they did upset their NCAA bracket favorites and make it to the Sweet Sixteen. I've got my fingers crossed...

I was fortunate to not get too mushy and pick the dynamo North Carolina upset by my home team Michigan State (Go Spartans!). I had NC beating my boys MSU in a tight game...which it was. But the Spartans played one hell of a game, though. Did you see our little white point gaurd Valeri for MSU dribbling crossover style like Allen Iverson? Damn, I thought he was going to shoot the lights out and beat North Carolina. But he didn't - and therefore my pool entry isn't shot to hell. So either way I won on that one.

I was lucky I didn't give Duke too much credit but I didn't have them picked to get knocked out in the first round - just the second. And damned if I missed the Vandy upset (and had Gonzaga doing better than they did). So it's all up in the air now, noobsters. It's anybody's tournament...both in our 4-man race and in the Big Dance.

I'm Hardy4. So far i have been lucky in some games, but others i have been screwed big. This is actually my worst bracket.

I got my gut instinct right on the Duke loss in the first round. I'm still dying from that early dismissal of Gonzaga, that was just a painful game to watch!

Man you've got a better sense of the Dookies this year than I did. When I was filling out my bracket in pencil I actually projected them going to the Sweet Sixteen! Then I talked myself out of it due to their seeding, etc.

I did a bit of research, too. But I went with my gut on Gonzaga as well. I always liked them because John Stockton of the Utah Jazz played college hoops there and put that place on the basketball map. I'm not much of a Jazz fan but Gonazaga has always been a good underdog to take. Until this year.

I'm still putting my chips on UNLV. If they lose I'm in a bad way for sure. And as any visitor to our pool will see I have North Carolina picked to be the champs. They looked AMAZING in the win over my boys Michigan State. They are so deep, so talented down to the end of the bench that they can sub in anyone anytime to keep legs fresh and never miss a beat.

It's that strategy that wore MSU down despite their best efforts. I'm not saying UNC is a sure-fire lock to win the title but it will take one hell of a good time to knock them off. If anyone beats UNC that team will be the favorite to win the title. I hope that doesn't happen, of course. But living so close to Michigan State's campus I wouldn't have minded seeing MSU go a bit further in the tournament...nah!

And how about Georgetown? Does everyone like the Hoyas like I do? I never count them out early.

We'll see.

A big thanks to Moonman who set the Noobster NCAA tournament up. It's been alot of fun and he gets the credit.

Tonight is the big night. The noobster known as Aubiefan23 and I are in a dead heat for the Noobster NCAA tournament title. It's been close for the past 2 weeks now but our posted brackets have tonight's game - North Carolina vs. Georgetown - all but deciding who the winner will be.

I've got North Carolina going all the way and winning the title. Aubiefan has Georgetown winning the championship game. With the way the point system is set up the winner of tonight's Elite Eight game between those two teams should knock out one of us and leave a clear winner.

Of course everyone is still in the race. The final points tally has yet to be made and guessing the winner of the tournament does not necessarily mean you win a tournament pool. However, with these four Noobster brackets posted the battle for who will win should be decided tonight.

I'm pumped for a North Carolina victory. Tonight's game comes 25 years to the day after a UNC freshman named Michael Jordan sunk Georgetown with a buzzer beater to win the game. Remember that guy? I'm looking for UNC's stars to shine tonight as well. Go Tar Heels!

North Carolina Loses in OT!
njohnson747 loses the Noobsters NCAA Tournament pool!

The noobster Aubiefan23 has now effectively locked up the Noobster NCAA tournament pool as of tonight. There are still the final games yet to be played, however, but it looks like he will walk away with braggin' rights. DAMN!

I will send him a congratulatory PM when the tournament is finally over. However, my message of thanks goes to Moonman. He made this tournament a fun one to watch when he set up the Noobsters NCAA Tournament pool. It was a closely contested one. It went right down to the wire tonight. Thanks again moonman - and thanks everyone for playing.

The ESPN site confirms our Noobsters pool is finalized. It's all over! Aubiefan23 won in our Noobsters NCAA tournament pool by a sizable amount - picking Georgetown to go deep in the tournament. That was his winning edge. I just sent him a congratulatory PM. However, I must say once again that my most important PM involving this year's NCAA tournament goes to Moonman. The Noobsters NCAA tournament pool wouldn't have happened without his efforts and I sincerely appreciate it.

Noobsters made the NCAA tournament fun again.

This tournament pool was just one more way the Noobsters community extends from the internet into real life. What happens here matters. It's important to us or we wouldn't be a part of it. Viva la Noobsters!
