Zeddicus 03-02-07, 09:32 PM The past two days have been filled with snow and wind... work was canceled early yesterday and canceled altogether today. My car, along with my neighbor, is penned in:

But the worst part is, I ran out of toilet paper.... and paper towels.
:doghump:
Atomicoxygas 03-03-07, 12:19 AM ^^ wow and i thought montreal had a bad snow storm.
anyways, you dont need toilet paper or towels..... there is plenty of fresh powder to use!
Jantheman 03-03-07, 01:05 AM So do you expect to get out about June? I have never seen snow completely over the top of a car.
Zeddicus 03-03-07, 02:44 AM That's funny jan...I just spent two hours shoveling my way out!

I'm pooped. Once again, however, there is a sick little TWIST: the alleyway needs to be plowed
or shoveled
(oops, forgot to resize this one)
:sulkoff:
wow ! that's a lot of sh!t ! I's like to see snow, but this is way too much !
Jantheman 03-03-07, 06:00 PM Sorry for the reaction, Zeddicus, but I have yet to see that much snow. You need a snowthrower. I purchased mine in 1996, overhauled it in 2004, and will probably trade: it for a two stage when they come on sale at the end of the season. My heart and my back just could not take the three car driveway workout any longer.
Zeddicus 03-04-07, 04:11 AM Don't be sorry Jan... I too have never seen a car covered that completely with snow, I was just being sarcastic (it was mildly caustic). And yes, I do need a snow-blower or thrower in your case ;-)
mAVERICK1 03-04-07, 10:20 AM That can't be good for your car. I imported an Audi from Japan once and they told me the value would not be as good as if I'd bought it from Europe due to the snow having a detrimental effect on the paintwork?
RageCage12 03-04-07, 05:07 PM BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Raped! Good luck Zed...
Zeddicus 03-04-07, 07:26 PM mAVERICK1, I don't think the snow itself has a detrimental effect on the paintwork; the 1/2 ton of salt put on the roads for ice does, however, erode ever so slowly at the paint. There are nice automatic car washes up here that coat the car when done with a little extra "anti-rust" layer. Maybe due to the increasing toxicity of the atmosphere, the actual snow that falls could have a higher acidity, much like acid rain erodes statues...
Jantheman 03-05-07, 02:37 AM Don't be sorry Jan... I too have never seen a car covered that completely with snow, I was just being sarcastic (it was mildly caustic). And yes, I do need a snow-blower or thrower in your case ;-)It's OK. Have you gotten out yet? Just curious.:icon_oyes:
Zeddicus 03-05-07, 07:52 AM Yes I have, the snow plow came through the alley this morning. All the snow is turning to slush now due to the weather today: it was 26 degrees (F)!
And in case you're wondering why 26 degrees is anything remarkable, it feels like spring to me... when the wind isn't gusting.
Jantheman 03-05-07, 09:12 PM Kind of like us here in Indiana. When it hits 50F, we shed our heavy winter coats and wait for May
pvtpile 03-05-07, 09:33 PM I'd love snow if it wasn't so damn cold...
