I got a phone call at work on Monday, my sister had collapsed and was in a coma. So I legged it up to Scotland on Easyjet (man they are shit) thinking well I need to be there, she'll get better.
Turns out she's had a massive blood clot on her brain and it was inoperable. Her brain was so damaged that even if we had been able to keep her alive she would have been a total vegetable. The family, including her partner agreed to turn her oxygen off on Wednesday. My sister died at 2.55pm Wednesday afternoon in front of my eyes.
Sorry this is a bit blunt but I'm still in pieces.

Hope comments from the team here provide a little consolation for you.
Know the sadness will be there for some time to come. But, however cliche'd it might sound, I know personally, that if you continue to remember the happy times you shared together then they'll eventually help replace the sadness.
Times like these make you appreciate the family members you still have with you even more. Being your sister man. That really hits home. Really sorry for you loss J.
