The issue of global warming seems to be the planetary hot topic (pardon the horrid unintentional punnage, but no better way to word things, really) amongst most forums and major news publications of late. I've seen viewpoints ranging from people claiming that Al Gore is the new Jesus, here to save us from ourselves with his wise uber-biased bullshit movie An Inconvenient Truth, to those who deny that the climate is changing at all, and figure that it's just the weather being a bitch to everyone lately for reasons that can conveniently be explained by pointing out random Biblical verses, to the entire idea being a left-wing crackpot conspiracy to push an agenda to sell more hybrid vehicles to increase the stock in certain companies, boosting the fincances of certain people involved within said conspiracy.
What I'm wondering here is, simply enough, what is your take on the issue, and if you have any good articles to back up your views, they would be much appreciated, since the more viewpoints we can look upon, the more we can make an informed decision on an issue.
I have yet to see anyone top a response to me from the PSMonline.com forums, where I was informed that I was an "ignorant, uninformed moron that can't accept the truth of the matters, and you are probably getting paid by oil companies to make these claims!" Hell, while I'm at it, why don't ya say I'm a feckin' baby eater, a communist, and the leader of the KKK? Just because I called out Mr. Gore's movie, primarily on his sources, which he had hand-picked, long friends of the Democratic party that are more than willing to warp their studies to score some new study grants and a new car, and told the youth of the forum to look at the doctors that were on the reports Gore used as examples, and find the actual papers published, as well as comments from the scientists that didn't feed from Gore's hand, for the butchering of their results, and the politicians that printed the end results of the reports to suit their own means.
Let the eternal debate rage on! And, lets try to keep it out of the usual bullshit bi-partisan politcking please? Try to keep all of that "neo-Republican oil supporter conspiracy!" and "neo-Democrat hippie drivel!" banter to a minimum.
