Fooking Flashget

I am going nutz over here. I can not get flashget to download from either Rapidshare site. When I first downloaded flashget, it worked just fine. I have RS set to automatically start downloads. All of the links are working; however, the the files that are downloaded by flashget are only 5-10 kb, not 100MB. Anyone got any ideas what I can do? I would love to be able to resume downloads and other stuff that a download manager is capable of. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!

Thanks!:nrocks:

I've never used Flashget, but I saw this (http://rapidshare.com/en/news.html) the other day. Might have something to do with it... I dunno.

At least you get the first three. I can not get any of them. Piece of shit.

What I do when I have this problem is I just download manually using this extension in FireFox. Just highlight the link, drag it, and it opens the link in another tab thus causing the forced download within my firefox. Only takes a minute to do. Good for movies, pain in the ass for dl's with many many links.

Moonman, I think Majorhan is right. Remember to login and do it manually.

I started using Flashget about the time you did and it took some getting used too...because you have to log in to the RapidShare server via Flashget every single time. I don't trust the auto-login - I always do it manually and it has been working fine. I'm sorry the same hasn't been the case for you.

If I accidentally don't login, well, I get the 5-10kb filesize downloads just like you have been. So that's my guess as far as fixing the problem goes. Don't do anything "automatically" do it manually. And I don't have RapidShare set to automatically start download anything from either site and I'm doing just fine with Flashget.

Moonman, I don't know jack shit about computers or the internet compared to most people so if I can get it to work I'm sure you can, no problem. Since there is no wonderful follow-up to RapidGet on the new RapidShare we are stuck with the alternatives like Flashget (many of which are listed on RapidShare's new FAQ page).

Hopefully there will be a new version of RapidGet for the new RapidShare soon. Hell, they have a new uploader why don't they have a new downloader! Meanwhile I would just go the long way 'round and do everything manually in terms of login. That's the key.

Sorry you are having all these problems, man. It's been weeks for you now, hasn't it? Good luck.

Yea, but with the auto download set in Rapidshare and the extension that was posted above, it is quicker than loging in to the site all the time. I dunno. I just want the shit and want it to be easy and that ain't gonna happen. Thanks for the help.

if using firefox, look for the extension called Linky, i find it very very helpful with rapidshare downloads. allows you to open each link in a separate window, and with forced downloads checked in rapidshare, it's just a matter of clicking save and then closing the opened window for each link.
