rapidshare downloader

if anyone comes across a decent d/l prog for com like the rapidget they have for de please post it im sick of all the other progs which work like shit.

When I used to use rapidshare I just setup flashget to dload it...worked waay better than rapidget IMO..... and only used rapidget to check the files.....

How can I get hold of Flashget? Is it on the RapidShare.com homepage or somewhere else (and unaffiliated with the new site)?

OK - I got it. Can anyone tell me how to use it? I'm only familiar with RapidGet.

Here's the bulk of my PM from satman regarding the use of flashget. He's not online right now but I don't think he would mind me sharing the knowledge.

"Flashget is just a standard download manager. U would need the Flashgot extension to run it in FF. Once both are installed ....... select any bunch of rapidshare links and right click and select "Flashgot selection" from the menu to export the links to Flashget...and flashget will open.........

To make rapidshare links compatible with Flashget - Go to options>site manager and enter www.rapidshare.com and its user / pass.

Or individually whenever flashget opens a link u can specify the user and pass there under the option - "Login to server". This is useful when u want to use different RS accounts."

it used to have a BHO for IE when it was ad-supported thus became labeled as spyware.....

but even thats removed after version 1.72 onwards....

not had a problem since....

i use flashget for all downloads... its so easy to use. and i have the flashgot addin for firefox, works a beaut

When I try and download a file with flashget I get a 7kb rar file. I am almost certain that it just dls the link. I have my account info stored for RS. What am I missing in the set up. I am using FF. I got the extension for flashget also. Please help me!

I recommend a PM to Satman or re-visiting the RapidShare.com site. The site has a bit more downloader info now and Satman might have some more pearls of wisdom regarding FF.
