three men go into a motel and hand the clerk $30
$10 each from the three men.


In the morning the clerk realized that she over charged the men,the room was only $25 for the night.


The clerk gave the (bell-boy) $5 in 1 dollar bills and sent him to give it to the men,

On the way to the room the (bell-boy) was not sure how to split $5 three ways,so he put $2 in his pocket then gave the three men each a $1 dollar bill.


So the men each got back $1 in reality the men only paid $9 each for the room,RIGHT?


OK, do the math ..........9 x 3 = 27 + the $2 the (bell-boys got) = $29

Wrong math dude.

Instead of getting back $5 they got $3 and instead of paying the initial $30 they ended up paying $27, or $25 for the room and $2 for the bell boy
$25 + $3 + 2$ = $30
Same as if u were saying: 3 x 9 - 2 + 5 = $30 :D
