Well, I've been lookin about for WMP9, but all I can find is installs for 98SE and up. Now, this rig that I'm doing for school only has 98, and it lost its SE in Vietnam. I don't suppose anybody knows of a link for WMP9 install that works on the 98 OS? Any help would be great. Thank-ya.

why not just add the .DLL files it needs from 98SE?? ive done crap like that before. even had to do it for XP Home by adding from Pro version just to get some apps to work. ;)

That sounds like a whole lotta work, and I'd rather not fuck up the work I've done already. It takes forever to get anything done on this old rig with barely enough horsepower to keep a few IE windows open. Unless I can find a self-extracting intall for the .DLL's, I'll have to find another way.

Mkay, I got it working. Just had to change some stuff in the regedit and vwala. Thought I almost lost my OS though cuz I got a bluescreen after installing windows, then rebooted and all fine :) Thanks for the help though Lavane.

The computer I'm working on is from my school. It's for an A+ Computer Repair course, and I had to take one of their old AOpen machines disassemble, reassemble, and install a bunch of crap, including WMP9. I've already got a nice machine going at home.
Pentium D 820 (2.8 GHz), 1 GB DDR2, 250 SATA HDD, and onboard network, sound, as well as graphics. It does its job, although it has to really pull some weight when trying to run wolfet. The onboard its using is Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset (128 MB).

I really don't need any parts, unless you've got a video card sitting around collecting dust. My rigs got AGP & PCI-e. If ya got one though, shoot me a PM and maybe we can figure something out.
